Weekly round up – w/e 17th October

Off track distance races

Sunday saw the staging of York’s biggest road race of the year the York Marathon and the associated 10 mile race. Well done to all our members that took part.

The leading runners from the club in the 10 mile race were Steve Asquith in 10th place with 57.59, new member Adam Bateman in 25th place with 61.38 and Ed Mezzetti in 30th place with 63.30. Emma Lewis completed her first 10 mile race in 80.24 with James Richardson (84.53) and Val Jones (115.46) also completing the course.

Andy Richardson (3.25.26), Wesley Possible (3.27.55) and Josh Breen (3.29.02) were all close together as they were the leading runners from the club in the Marathon.

The club had 10 runners taking part in parkruns last weekend with the club having 3 first places. Isabel O’Brien at Daly Forest, Sophie Robertson-Dover at Heslington and William Keens at Easingwold.
