Off track distance races
Charlotte Mason came 2nd in the Vale of York Half Marathon in a time of 1.19.01 behind Georgia Malir of Leeds City who was a comfortable winner of the race.
Dave Paver maintained his ‘ever present’ record in the Great North Run having run every edition of the race since it started in 1981. Dave ran 2.18.56. Katie Brennan ran the event for the first time in 1.51,59 as she raised money for the Martin House Hospice for Children and Young People.
Mike Raynes ran 42.17 in the Tholthorpe 10k with Dave Lancaster running 43.44 in the Jailbreak 10k in Lancaster.
13 of our members did parkrun on Saturday with first places for Gianluca Mastrolonardo (16.25 at Heslington), Katy Wood (17.26 at Woodhouse Moor in Leeds), Katarina Savkovic (21.10 at New Earswick) and Kaitlin Keens (22.31 at Easingwold). York Junior parkrun didn’t take place this week.
